These England retro football shirts celebrate the country’s finest footballing moment to date, the time when England lifted the World Cup back in 1966.

The vintage England football shirts and the heroes that wore them have become a part of our culture and there can’t be a better way to cheer on the boys at this World Cup than by wearing this famous red retro England shirt, which looks great with a pair of jeans.

England Euro 1996 Shirt

By far the most exciting European Championships for England was on home soil in the guise of Euro 96. A superb side, which included the strike partnership of Shearer and Sheringham up front got us to the semi-finals, which we of course lost on penalties to Germany, just as we had done six years before.

However, England’s great run in the competition did include a 4-1 thrashing of highly fancied Holland that was dubbed “Total Football” by many pundits.

This England retro football shirts commemorate the competition and in particular Shearer and the thirty goals he scored in his 63 caps playing for his country. This really is an awesome looking retro England shirt.

Apart from the World Cup winning shirt of 1966, the most iconic image of all England retro football shirts, must be Gazza crying in the semi-final after he had received a needless booking and knew that whatever happened he would miss the final.

England lost the semi-final to Germany, in any case, on penalties and there were more tears, not just from Gazza. Nevertheless, for those that remember the day, this was the proudest achievement of any England football team, barring out 1966 heroes, and these are vintage England football shirts that you can wear with pride!

The England 1990 Gazza shirt comes pre-numbered with a number 19, as worn by Paul Gascoigne in the 1990 World Cup final and is a must have England retro football shirt for any fan of that generation.

In 1962, Brazil were able to achieve back-to-back World Cup victories by beating Czechoslovakia 3-1 in the final. Although Pele was a key part of the Brazillian team, it was Garrincha who was the star of the show and it was a brilliant performance from him, including two goals, which helped Brazil to a 3–1 win over England in the Quarter Finals.

This wonderful Brazil retro shirt is based around the familiar yellow and green, but with the words “BRASIL” written across the front of the shirt and five stars beneath it.

Pele was a veteran of four World Cups, but perhaps his finest hour was as captain of the 1970 World Cup winning team, who beat 4-1 in the final.

These classic Brazil football shirts are Limited Edition shirts, which commemorate his great achievement perfectly.

There is no doubting what was the greatest football team never to win a World Cup. The Brazil side of 1982 was simply breathtaking!

This Brazil football kit top is a wonderful example of a Brazil retro shirt and is a great way to remember the silky skills of Socrates, Junior, Eder and Zico.

Johnny Doyle arrived at Celtic Park as a 24-year-old, in March 1976 from Ayr United. He hailed from Viewpark,in Uddingston - the very same area of Lanarkshire where Jimmy Johnstone first pulled on a pair of football boots. He was a player who was a great favourite of the fans. Mainly because of his whole hearted style of up and down the park type play but also because when Doyle pulled on the hoops you knew you were getting 100% effort. Johnny was tragically electrocuted... More

Celtic 1958.

£35.99

TOFFS
A classic away shirt from the 1950's, pictured is the 7-1 team in 1957.

England retro tracksuit tops are a superb way to cheer on the lads when they play the USA in the Group C opener, on Saturday June 12, 2010. An England retro tracksuit top not only brings back happy memories from a bygone era, but they also look really cool.

Below are two England retro tracksuit tops from teams that did the country proud in the past at the world’s biggest sporting event.

England 1986 World Cup Tracktop

This England retro tracksuit top is manufactured by Umbro and is the one worn by the players in the 1986 World Cup Finals, in Mexico.

England started the competition badly, but managed to qualify for the knock-out stages by beating Poland 3-0, with a hat-trick from Gary Lineker.

Of course, England lost 2-1 to Argentina in the quarter finals, thanks to Maradona’s infamous “Hand of God”. However, Gary Lineker did finish the tournament as leading scorer with 6 goals, winning the golden boot award.

It was a tournament of what could have been, but one thing is for certain, you can definitely wear these England retro tracksuit tops with pride, when cheering the lads on this year.

Click the image for a closer look at the England 1986 World Cup Tracktop

England 1966 Jacket

This is more of a jacket than an England retro tracksuit top, but nonetheless this is a cool vintage design that will look great with a pair of jeans.

Manufactured by Umbro, this is the jacket worn by manager, Sir Alf Ramsey, in the 1966 World Cup triumph.

Please note that this is the first time that this jacket has been made available and there are limited stocks, so order now to avoid disappointment.

In fact, in a poll carried out by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), Banks was voted in as the second best goalkeeper of the 20th Century, behind Lev Yashin in 1st Place and in front of Dino Zoff in 3rd.

Such was Banks prowess between the sticks that a popular phrase in the English language was slightly changed in his honour to “Safe as the Banks of England.”

Gordon Banks retro goalkeeper shirt

Until the final against Germany, Banks had let in one goal during the World Cup and that was a penalty in the semi finals by Eusebio.

This is the Yellow England Goalkeeper Shirt worn by Gordon Banks in the 1966 World Cup. It is a wonderful example of retro England football shirts available from this era, which really does look great.

The shirt comes pre-numbered with #1 on the back, as shown in the photo opposite.

Gordon Banks England Retro Football Shirts

Gordon Banks is not only remembered for being a member of the England side that famously won the 1966 World Cup.

He is probably equally remembered for the save he made against Pele in the 1970 World Cup.

Pele himself said that it was the best piece of goalkeeping he had ever seen. The famous blue goalkeeper shirt he wore during the 1970 World Cup to make that save is one of those England retro football shirts that is a timeless classic. And now you can be the proud owner of one of them.

This 70’s Portsmouth tracksuit top is a retro track suit at it’s best!

The colour and style are such that it will go great with a pair of jeans.

These retro tracksuit tops were originally worn by the Portsmouth team of the seventies, which included Kris Kamara, now more well known for his co-commentating on Sky Sports.

There is a great variation of Pompey’s ’smiley crest’ on the retro track suit, which really adds something to the overall look!

Johan Cruyff was the star in the “Total Football” Holland side, in the seventies. Although a striker, he felt equally at home in midfield or on the wings, where he would inevitably perform an amazing piece of skill that became commonly known as the “Cruyff Turn”.

Cruyff began his club career at Ajax, but having been voted European Player of the year for the 2nd time in 1973, he moved to Barcelona for what was then a world record fee of £922,300. At this time, he was considered by many to be the best player in the world.

Instead, he signed for the LA Aztecs.

However, Cruyff did in fact make two appearances as a guest player in the Cosmos side and this is the shirt he wore in the Giants Statium, in 1978.

Throughout his career, Cruyff played for a number of great sides, but below are perhaps his most iconic shirts. As well as the various Holland football shirts he appeared in, is of course his Barcelona retro shirts, which are unsurprisingly very popular.

However, our personal favourite is the the Dutch football shirt from the seventies, which will forever be synonymous with the legend that is Johan Cruyff.

It disappointed Johan. "Barca" could offer a better salary as well and that of course helped luring him to the Catalan capital.
